I'm so excited after attending the launch of "Made in Stirling" this evening.
Made in Stirling is offering local creatives the opportunity to showcase their work in a Pop Up Shop in Stirling city centre for the next 3 months. The shop space has been fitted out with the help and support of amazing local businesses donating their time and expertise: big thanks and shout out to Stirling Electrical, Ogilvies and D Signs with materials from Norbord.
This venture is in collaboration with Start Up Street Stirling, Stirling Creative Industries forum and Stirling Council.
It's so sad to walk along the high street and see so many For Sale and To Let signs. I can't help thinking with the downturn of the economy etc the heart has gone out of the high street. That's one of the reasons this venture is so exciting, to take an vacant shop and through progressive, forward thinking turn a dead space into a vibrant creative space.
And yes, yours truly is planning to show in a couple of weeks time, but in the meantime you can find out a bit more by following the links:

Dotty Vintage Wedding
It really is amazing the people you meet on
Twitter!!!
I was lucky to meet up with Laura of “Dotty
Vintage Wedding”. During the course of
our tweeting conversation Laura told me about her exciting new blog venture and
asked if I would like to be featured? She didn’t have to ask me twice!
Laura has a really exciting job as a Wedding
Co-ordinator in beautiful Devon. I think
that must be amazing and rewarding (and stressful)
to be part of a team working to ensure that after months and months of budgeting
and planning the happy couples big day goes off without a hitch and is special right
down to the last detail.
Laura also has a passion for all things
vintage and through her blog she aims to share this along with her experiences
as a Wedding Coordinator. Her mission…. “to
show you the reader the real work that goes on in front of and behind the
scenes to make your wedding a real success”.
If you’re planning a wedding or like me
just love vintage why don’t you favourite or follow Laura’s blog at www.dottyvintageweddings.co.uk
I feel really flattered that you chose
to feature my jewellery on your blog. Thanks x

Although Sandra mainly blogs about beauty she will also include other things which interest her or catch her eye. Sandra sourses some fantastic products, some that you won't necessarily find on the high street, then tests and writes reviews on them.
Her posts not only make great reading but can also take some of the guess work out when buying a product for the first time.
I was fortunate to have a pair of my own handmade earrings featured and review thanks Sandra x

Happy Anniversary
Creating jewellery is my first love, but I must admit I'm getting more than a little liking for photography!
I got a lovely bunch of flowers for my anniversary (thanks Seamus x) and decided to take a few snaps before they were completely past their best and I'm chuffed with the result.
If anyone has any photography or editing tips, I'd love to hear from you.
Happy Anniversary me

Weed Another Day
Apparently it has been the wettest June for years with the
result our garden has sprung into life. The Day of the Triffids comes to mind!
Whilst I was waiting for my sterling silver findings etc to
work harden and finish in the tumbler (like a tumble dryer, but Barbie size), I
decided the garden was in need of some serious attention. We had sown wild flower seeds (childrens mix) to add a spash of colour.
Just for a moment I had a stroll down memory lane. Do
you remember when you were a kid and you would pick the dandelions when they
had their fairy heads on and blow them whilst making a wish and then wonder why
your parents or the neighbours would get annoyed?
Now I understood why - the flower patch had morphed into a dandi meadow, with fairy heads in every nook and cranny.
My little weeding job was now turning into a major piece of work. But it would seem luck was on my side and low and behold it started to rain AGAIN!
I couldn't resist taking a quick photo though, before heading back indoors. Little pesky weeds, but they are kind of pretty. What do you think?
